HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – HAPPY WEEK OF THANKSGIVING…. truly weather we can thankful for! We are waking up to cool temperatures, in fact, slightly below average for our overnight lows.
On this Eve of Thanksgiving beautiful weather! Moderate northeast winds across the islands today. Winds then strengthen and shift from a more easterly trade wind direction Thursday and Thursday night before weakening again through the early next week. Conditions will remain fairly stable with a few clouds and light, mostly windward showers through the weekend.
Stable and somewhat dry conditions will persist as light northerly winds shift to a more typical northeasterly direction late today and Wednesday. Expect modest rainfall over windward slopes, while daytime sea breezes produce afternoon clouds and minimal showers over leeward terrain. Trade winds will strengthen Thursday and Friday, then decline Sunday and next Monday.
THIS THANKSGIVING WEEKEND: Mid-80s and overnight lows in the upper 60s and low 70s! Feeling like Autumn
SURF: Surf will rapidly rise to warning levels on Thanksgiving day.
WISHING YOU BLUE SKIES AND MUCH ALOHA.
